Atlanta-based Helios already worked on four winning Olympic bids - in 2008, Beijing,Vancouver in 2010, Sochi in 2014 and Pyeongchang in 2018.
Russia for the 2018 World Cup also provided the successful candidate.
Rome bid CEO Ernesto Albanese says that Helios will assist in "brand positioning and messaging" and in all Olympic presentations.
2020 Games competing are Madrid; Tokyo; Istanbul; Doha, Qatar; and Baku, Azerbaijan.
The 2020 Olympic host city in September 2013 will be selected.
